For over 16 years, Michael’s been producing music for Weigh Down Ministries as well as participating as one of the worship leaders at Remnant Fellowship Church in Brentwood, TN. Born in Memphis, he’s the son of well-known Christian author/speaker Gwen Shamblin, and lives in Brentwood with his wife Erin and three daughters Gabriele, Garland and Gates.
Besides writing worship/rock/hip-hop music, he’s also written two full-length musical productions (“Hosanna Symphony”/“Voices”). He calls these productions “Viewsicals” because they’re written with a high level of interaction with the screens behind stage and are designed to immerse the audience in the show.
